Yogalates

Yogalates is a unique fusion of the ancient Indian practice of Yoga with the modern western practice of Pilates. It combines Pilates’ core strength training in the deep abdominal muscles with Yoga’s stretching and strengthening of all major muscle groups.

The resulting routine, emphasising breathing techniques, improves stability and posture, balance, core strength and flexibility. It is effective in improving your overall muscle tone and becoming slimmer, stronger and fitter.

Yogalates brings calm and revitalisation to our being with mind, body and breath connection.

About Me

Jane has a passion for health and wellbeing, and has worked in the health industry for over 30 years. On top of being a qualified Yogalates instructor Jane is a fully qualified Naturopath and holds diplomas in Aromatherapy, Remedial Massage and Beauty Therapy.

Drawing on this vast experience in several disciplines, the key to her unique perspective is her understanding of functional anatomy and how Yoga affects different areas of the body.

Working over the decades with clients with varying health concerns she has woven her training to bring healing to all aspects of body and soul.

Her journey into natural health and healing started in her twenties when she studied Aromatherapy while in the United Kingdom and then went on to complete a diploma of Remedial Massage when she returned to Australia.

After working for many years as a Remedial Massage therapist and Aromatherapist she completed a diploma of Naturopathy.

After a serious illness in 2008, Yoga aided her recovery both physically and emotionally. In 2014 she completed her teacher training with the acclaimed founder of Yogalates, Louise Solomon in Bangalow NSW.

Jane is a vibrant and happy teacher who loves sharing the joy of health and movement with others.

About My Classes

Our classes focus on functional body alignment so muscles can be strengthened and stretched without placing strain on the joints and spine which can become vulnerable to injury as we age.

Yogalates is a fun class where I encourage everyone to have a go – modifying specific movements for beginners or specific needs.

Our focus is on creating a safe, supportive, friendly environment in which you can experience the benefits of Yogalates with like minded people. All levels are catered for as we give options for different levels of fitness.
